An appointment system operates at both surgeries. Urgent cases will be seen within 24 hours and routine appointments are available with each doctor. Please telephone the surgery or call at reception to book.

We are currently open 8am to 8pm Monday, 8am to 6pm Tuesday & Wednesday, 7.30am to 6pm Thursday and Friday

From 1st April 2017 the extended hours access scheme is being discontinued across surgeries in West Leeds due to a reduction in funding. The surgery will be closing at 6pm Tues-Fri and 8pm on Mondays.

Weekend and Bank Holiday appointments will remain at Ireland Wood Surgery. You may not be seen by your own GP but you will be seen by a GP who will provide an equivalent standard of care. The opening hours at the weekend facility will be reduced from 1st April 2017.  These will be 5pm-8pm mid week, 8am-4pm Sat and 9am-1pm Sun.

The CCG welcomes your feedback on the extended hours access service:

Changes To Extended Hours Access Scheme

For emergency appointments after 6pm until closing please call Vesper Road & Morris Lane Surgery on 0113 2751248. Outside of our extended opening hours, please call 111 if you require non-urgent medical care.

You can also book, cancel or check appointments online. Please see a member of the Reception Team for details.

Telephone Advice

In certain circumstances the doctors and nurses are available to take telephone calls, but only at appropriate times. Please ask at reception for more details.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
